Michael Dorrin is my name and Graphic Design is The Game. I am a creative, well organized Graphic Designer who enjoys fun of Art. Born in Folsom, Pennsylvania, a suburb to Philadelphia, at the age of 7 I knew what I wanted to be when a grew up, a Computer Animator. I watched the Disney Channel show “Movie Surfers” everyday and got interested even more when the new movies were released and I got to see how they were made. I draw pictures more for the aspect of the kids point of view, and enjoy working with kids as well. I started to draw at the age of 7 with the help of my older brother by my side. He showed me a lot on how to draw and always told me to be creative and be yourself. Since my early years of school, I taught myself a special way to get ideas in life of drawing. I can stare practically into space or in a carpet to get ideas or images and then draw them on a piece of paper. I always carry paper, pencils and color pencils with me everywhere I go, because I get a lot of ideas when I am around people and I try to draw them when i can.

I kept drawing and adding to my skills, as the years went by. I had plenty of art classes through all of my school years, starting with Elementary school, going through Middle and High School and with the classes I took, they helped me develop more of a passion for art. After High School, I wanted to learn more and to see if I could get better than I was, so I went to Delaware County Community College and signed up under the Communication Major first and then later changed my major to Liberal Arts. I had a few classes for art and a Art History class. I learned a lot but not exactly what I wanted to do with my life. So I left Delaware County Community College and found a school specifically for Graphic Design near my house in Springfield, Pennsylvania. I went to the Anthem Institute for the Graphic Design / Animation field. I learn a lot into what I wanted to do when I grow up and I also go to do projects for kids as well. I learned how to do the following: Logo Design, Web Design, Flash Gaming, Digital Camera work, Video Taping, and Video Editing, and 3D Animation.

I am a big gamer as in the aspect of Video Games. I play Playstation and XBOX 360 games as well as some PC games. Sometimes those video game characters from my games give me some ideas on what to draw as well. I also love taking my drawings to the next level if I can and model them into 3D Studio Max to make them stand out more.
